In our last issue we noted some common excuses people use to dissuade Christians to vote. We looked at several excuses including God's in control so my vote doesn't matter. His will surely will come to pass concerning our future president without us.
People who remark "God's in control" don't exercise faith. They take what the devil hands them and spout "God's in control". If God's in control you mean to tell me he was responsible for Judas Iscariot?
Is God responsible for the floods, the fires, murders, hurricanes, tornadoes, and the mass genocide of helpless people in 3rd world countries? The over 60 million abortions the USA permitted? Because, after all, God's in control.
Should we do nothing to help feed the poor and shelter the homeless and care for the sick? Should we just sit back and do nothing because, after all, God's in control?
KJG 2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
Yep, the god of this world is in control UNLESS we act in faith and stand against him; UNLESS we put on the whole armour of God and kick his butt.
NJB Luke 4:6 and said to him, 'I will give you all this power and their splendour, for it has been handed over to me, for me to give it to anyone I choose.
You just sit back and do nothing and keep saying God's in control see how that's works for you. In the meantime the army of God will march forth without you to battle the adversary. You explain to God why you put your light under a bushel.
Matthew 25:14-18 14For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. 15And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. 16Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. 17And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two. 18But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord's money.
Since God's in control he doesn't expect us to do anything with what he gave us right?
Matthew 25:24-30 24Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: 25And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. 26His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed: 27Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. 28Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. 29For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. 30And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
I can just see this servant explaining to God that his pastor told him God was in control so he didn't think he had to do anything.
Romans 10:13-14 13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
Nope! Don't worry God's in control he doesn't need you to do anything but sit back in your easy chair and watch TV.
1 Corinthians 3:14-15 14If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
A lot of Christians are going to suffer loss because of the lie that God's in control. Yes God is in control and he gave the earth to man to steward and care for.
Psalm 115:16 The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD'S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.
So occupy until he comes and one of the simplest things you can do to occupy is vote.
In closing the recent presidential election has now ended. To date the most evil man the progressive movement has raised up to sit in the white house is gone.
President Trump is not our savior Jesus Christ is our Lord and savior. However it would appear he is more righteousness than President Obama.
