fountainThe Fountain of Youth

The Fountain of Youth is something that has made its way into the folklore and mythological stories across many cultures. The Fountain of Youth was a common theme in Greek mythology, and the stories surrounding these waters make the bold claim that those who come in contact with it will stay young forever.

Herodotus, known as the "Father of History," wrote about a group of people called the Macrobians, who were believed to have lived in modern-day Africa and were known for their longevity and youthfulness.

In his writings, he also spoke of a mysterious pool of water that the Macrobians used regularly that he speculates may have held some of the power of their youth. Here is what he said in one of his books:

"The Macrobians went to a fountain, wherein when they had washed, they found their flesh all glossy and sleek, as if they had bathed in oil - and a scent came from the spring like that of violets. The water was so weak, they said, that nothing would float in it, neither wood, nor any lighter substance, but all went to the bottom." If the account of this fountain be true, it would be their constant use of the water from it which makes them so long-lived.

Alexander the Great searched for the Fountain of Youth.

King Prester John claimed to rule a land that had a Fountain of Youth during the early Crusades of the 11th and 12th centuries AD.

In Japan, stories of hot springs that could heal wounds and restore youth were also common and still are to this day.

Similar stories were prominent among the Caribbean people during the early 16th century, who spoke of restorative powers of the water in the mythical land of Bimini. Similar legends have been found in the Canary Islands, Polynesia, and England.

The name linked most closely to the search for the Fountain of Youth is 16th-century Spanish explorer Juan Ponce de Leon, who allegedly thought it would be found in Florida. It's strange what some are willing to believe. Ponce de Leon died searching for the island of Bimini.

The Fountain of Youth is a mystical water that if bathed in would rejuvenate and regenerate your physical body producing youth and life forever.

Jeremiah 2:7-13 13And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when ye entered, ye defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination. 8The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit. 9Wherefore I will yet plead with you, saith the LORD, and with your children's children will I plead. 10For pass over the isles of Chittim, and see; and send unto Kedar, and consider diligently, and see if there be such a thing. 11Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit. 12Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD. 13For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

Many of God's people today follow in this evil. There is evil within the church. A woke ideology is being taught to and accepted by many of God's people. A social gospel has replaced the gospel of Jesus Christ. Homosexuality, which the Lord calls a disgusting thing, is praised and promoted. Leviticus 18:22

The American Holocaust, which takes 10 times more lives compared to the Jewish Holocaust, is under the sanction of law called abortion. There also is gender identity, same sex unions, and the list goes on and on.

NIV Jeremiah 4:22 "My people are fools; they do not know me. They are senseless children; they have no understanding. They are skilled in doing evil; they know not how to do good."

Jeremiah 2:13 For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

When you forsake God, the devil will offer you a substitute. Doctor Young translated the verse like this.

Jeremiah 2:13 For two evils hath My people done, Me they have forsaken, a fountain of living waters, To hew out for themselves wells — broken wells, That contain not the waters.

When man forsakes God he always replaces Him with something or someone else. That'’s right I used my pronoun correctly, Him referring to God. God is a father and a woman cannot be a father.

By the way there are only two sexes, male and female, a man and a woman; and yet the latest appointment to the United States Supreme Court Judge Ketanji Brown left many scratching their heads.

During confirmation hearings Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-Tennessee) asked Jackson "Can you provide a definition for the word 'woman'?"

"Can I provide a definition?" the judge replied, adding, "No, I can't." This answer is the result of a man or woman in this case who has been deceived and has forsaken the one true God. She has hewed out for herself a new god, her liberal ideology. A modern day cistern, a broken cistern that can hold no truth.

Psalm 36:9 For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light.

John 4:5-14 5Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. 6Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour. 7There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. 8(For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) 9Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. 10Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. 11The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? 12Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? 13Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: 14But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Dr. H. Clay Trumbull, the old editor of the Sunday School Times, showed in his writings there had been a Blood Covenant practiced by all primitive people from time centuries old. He proved that this Blood Covenant was the basis of all primitive religions. He gave data from all parts of the world showing that even to this day, in Africa, India, China, Borneo, and the Islands of the Seas, men are practicing a Blood Covenant.

These covenants were degenerated, but never-the-less, it had the marks of an original revelation from God. Likewise, the myth about the Fountain of Youth may have had its roots in the original revelation of God, the Fountain of Living Waters. But just like everything else when man gets a hold of something sacred he distorts its truth.

Jesus said whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Revelation 22:15-17 15I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. 16I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star. 17And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Is there the Fountain of Youth that can heal and produce everlasting life? It may not be as far-fetched as you think when you consider that our God is the Fountain of Living Waters.

God bless you.
