In part one of this teaching, we saw that whenever man gets a hold of a word he always destroys and defaces its original God implied meaning. Its sense, significance, and worth are always devalued to reflect something the word was never meant to denote.
Pride has undergone this change throughout the years.
Ezekiel 16:48-50 48As I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters. 49Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. 50And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.
Homosexuality was rampant in Sodom. In their pride, they rebelled and celebrated their sin openly and proudly before the Lord. For this abomination, they brought the judgement of God upon their lives and were destroyed.
Genesis 18:20-21 20And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; 21I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know.
The sin of Sodom and Gomorrah was described by God as very grievous. How can something that is very grievous according to God’s word become something good and acceptable?
In the world, this is to be expected because the devil, is the god of this world and promotes his worldview which reflects his heart and nature which is very grievous.
However, in the church, this should never be allowed. Today, so called Christian churches fight and argue that it’s ok to embrace the homosexual LIE. Furthermore, they teach their congregations to accept this grievous sin as God’s will because God is love. God does love sinners, including the homosexuals and all other sinners very much.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
However, false teachers and preachers in the church confuse the love of God with the word of God.
God loves the sinner and homosexuality is a sin. So is adultery, lying, stealing, etc. But, just because God loves the sinner doesn’t mean he likes what the sinner is doing.
Any parent who has had a rebellious child at times has experienced this.When your child did something against your will and skipped school or got high or took something that didn’t belong to them did you accept the wrong and lobby congress to make a law saying it’s now ok to act this way?
Did we call up the cancel culture police and their online army of commentators and rain fire and brimstone on someone until they acquiesced to "the woke" way of thinking?
When your child sinned did that mean you didn’t love them anymore when you reproved and corrected them? Absolutely not! It was because you loved them that you corrected them. How many times did you hear, "you don’t love me" from a crying child? What they really meant was, "because I can’t have my way and you won’t let me do what I want to do you don’t love me."
Sure you love them. They are just mad that you will not bend to their will. But as the adult, you are the parent. You know what is best for your child. Ok if you understand this how is it that God doesn’t know what is best anymore? So you know what "the woke" generation does? They rebel against God, tell him he doesn’t have a clue, and start a hate campaign to cancel Him in the culture.
Today if a six year old boy feels he wants to be a girl, a loving mother should encourage that idea. Do you know why because people are afraid to stand for the true God today? People care more about how they are viewed on their Facebook page than the book of life.
God’s word is God’s will and no one has the right to cancel it. Evil men and woman have been trying for thousands of years to cancel it and have failed. And today evil and deceived men and women continue to try to cancel it and they too will fail.
Luke 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. Isaiah 40:8 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.
The word of God will stand forever and it does not matter what you think at the end of the day. You either believe or you don’t. But, God’s word will continue from generation to generation, for the Lord Jesus Christ cannot be canceled and He will return.
Genesis 19:1 1And there came two angels to Sodom at even; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing them rose up to meet them; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground; 2And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant"s house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall rise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay; but we will abide in the street all night. 3And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake unleavened bread, and they did eat. 4But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter: 5And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them. 6And Lot went out at the door unto them, and shut the door after him, 7And said, I pray you, brethren, do not so wickedly.
The NIV gives a clearer translation of verse 5.
NIV Genesis 19:5 They called to Lot, "Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them."
Lot, who was a righteous man, confronted these wicked men in verse 7.
The word "wickedly" in the Hebrew means, "to do evil."
Leviticus 18:22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
The word "abomination" in the Hebrew means "a disgusting thing, abomination, wickedness."
Romans 1:25-28 25Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. 26For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: 27And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. 28And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
The New Living Translation gives a clearer translation of this section.
NLT Romans 1:25 25Instead of believing what they knew was the truth about God, they deliberately chose to believe lies. So they worshiped the things God made but not the Creator himself, who is to be praised forever. Amen. 26That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. 27And the men, instead of having normal sexual relationships with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men and, as a result, suffered within themselves the penalty they so richly deserved. 28When they refused to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their evil minds and let them do things that should never be done.
Now how in the world can a government or even worse, a professing Christian church, condone and defend homosexuality?
NLT Romans 1:32 They are fully aware of God’s death penalty for those who do these things, yet they go right ahead and do them anyway. And, worse yet, they encourage others to do them, too. NAB Romans 1:32 Although they know the just decree of God that all who practice such things deserve death, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.
The church approves or agrees with this evil that is worthy of death? What do you think God will do with those false ministers that approve, defend, and teach that homosexuality is ok?
One of the end times signs is that there will be a great apostasy in the church.
2 Timothy 3:10-14 10But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, 11Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. 13But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived. 14But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
Jeremiah 6:16a Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls…
